SBE16 Conference Programme
The SBE conference will span over three full days starting on the Wednesday 16th March 2016 and ending on Friday 18th March 2016. The conference shall include three parallel sessions and poster sessions. The conference shall start at 9:00 of the 16th March and the closing session is expected to end at 17:00 of the 18th March.
SBE16 Green Building Exhibition
A Construction Industry and Green Building products exhibition will be organized along with the Conference. The aim of the exhibition is to demonstrate new materials and products, technologies and services. The exhibition shall include the main companies, representatives and distributors active in sustainable building. The exhibition will be located in the main atrium, close to the conference halls.
All entities, organizations and individuals interested in participating in the Green Building exhibition and introducing themselves to the experts and business partners are invited to contact the Conference secretariat.

SBE16 Community Outreach
The Green Malta Debate organised by SBE Malta, aims at reaching the communities and addressing important topics affecting society, the economy and the environment. Various topics are selected and addressed in the run-up to the international conference including Land Reclamation, Renewable Energy Sources and their effect on the Landscape. The Green Malta Debates are attracting hundreds of participants and serve as an effective tool to reach the community at large and in promoting the principles of sustainable development.
A number of Community outreach events shall be organised also during the conference where the participants and the community shall discuss, debate and appreciate the principles of sustainable development, addressing primarily the topics of the conference and their effect on the community. The aim of the Community Outreach is to encourage participation of the communities in sustaining sustainable development.
Technical tours
Sustainable Built Environment Technical Tours shall be organised for specific sites in Malta. including construction sites and sustainable buildings. More detailed information shasll be provided close to the conference date. Technical Tours shall be organized before and after the conference.
Separate Parallel events
SBE16 participants are welcome to ask the Conference Secretariat for meeting rooms or lecture rooms for any related parallel events between the 15th and the 19th March 2016. Coffee and refreshments can be made available. More information can be provided by the Conference Secretariat.
